“I would like to warmly welcome you to our parish website and the same welcome will be reciprocated when you visit our parish churches. Welcome is about greeting everyone in a friendly way and kind, loving, caring relationships are shared by Christians with everyone as we continue to model our lives on Jesus who is at the centre of our being.
We happily proclaim God’s love which enriches and enhances our lives and the life of our parish. The Holy Spirit guides and empowers us to share God’s love so that many may be brought to a knowledge of His love and dedicate their lives to His service.
Prayer and generous friendly service coupled with uplifting worship and reading of the Bible are the hallmarks of our parish and the nurturing of faith is so important to enable us to appreciate the meaning, purpose and future of each of our lives.
We are excited about what the Lord is doing in our parish and we celebrate our faith in a rich way with all the other Churches in the Mullingar area.
We hope our website and Facebook Page will uplift your spirit and encourage you to come and meet us in person in our parish churches.
May God give you the riches of His grace and bless and sustain you with His love and presence.”

Lighten Our Darkness – Sophie Ray

I am writing with the exciting news to say that our initiative is now really taking off and we hope that all of us, as young leaders in the Parish with the support of parishioners, will be able make a significant contribution in addressing the difficulties arising from climate change.  Our Climate Sunday service in September was a great success – over 200 attended.  Thank you for all your support.  This month, on Sunday 21st November, we are putting on our presentation and it would be great if you could support us by coming along.  We have lots of other ideas and projects in the pipeline which we will keep you informed of.  So watch out for next month’s Union Notes.  From all of us thanks for your support.

What is happening to God’s Natural world is catastrophic. Scientists warn us the outlook is, frankly, dire. “Lighten Our Darkness By Numbers” is a faith based initiative in All Saints’ Mullingar Parish, Westmeath , Ireland. We hope , with God’s help to stop the destruction and to reset our moral compass.
