Welcome

Lighten Our Darkness by Numbers
The young leaders held the Autumn Climate Service at Leney Church near Bunbrosna, County Westmeath on Sunday afternoon, 17 September.
This was the first service to be held at Leney since the church closed in 1985. The roof was removed after the closing and the inside of the old church and surrounding church yard has become a rich oasis of biodiversity. It was the first of ‘God’s Gardens of hope ‘ which the young leaders have tended in the initiative and the large number of people who attended the service felt nature surround them as we offered our praise to God. The singing was inspiring and after the service Dr. Dara Fitzpatrick, the scientist from University College Cork gave a talk on biodiversity before we all departed for refreshments at Wilson’s Hospital school which the school kindly provided.
Among the congregation at the service were former parishioners, past students of Wilson’s Hospital who used to walk to church at Leney and many young children.
Grandparents and Grandchildren service – Sunday 24 September at 11am in All saints’ Church, Mullingar
This Sunday the annual service will be held in All Saints’ when we will welcome children and their Grandparents to this special service.
The relationship they enjoy is very special indeed and this service will be prayerfully uplifting and the singing inspirational.
We extend a warm welcome to everyone and would be delighted if you are able to join us in Mullingar.
The parish will be hosting a special calendar of events between now and Christmas and everyone is more than welcome to come and share these occasions with us.
May God name be praised
Revd. Canon Alastair Graham
Rector
