Please note the change of service on<br \/>\nthe 7 th July in Kilbixy at the earlier time of 10am. There is a Family Service in<br \/>\nKillucan on 7 th July, all welcome and this will be followed by tea and tasty<br \/>\nhomemade treats.<\/p>\n<p>An evening service is being held in Almoritia on 14 th July<br \/>\nwhich Archdeacon Stevenson is taking. This will be followed by light<br \/>\nrefreshments. There are light refreshments after most morning services and we<br \/>\nlook forward to catching up over a cup of tea.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Youth Group<\/strong><br \/>\nHappy holidays to all the children just starting their summer holidays and we<br \/>\nhope all the other students who are on school holidays are having a good time.<br \/>\nWe had another afternoon of laughter and giggles at games in June and a fun<br \/>\nevening in the \u2018Hub\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>We are taking the month of July off for youth activities but we are back in<br \/>\nAugust. We look forward to seeing you all then along with new friends. Have a<br \/>\ngood break. If anybody is interested in becoming a youth leader\/ helper please<br \/>\nlet one of the Church Wardens known.<\/p>\n<p>August dates for the diary: Saturday 10th August Board games(3pm. \u2013 5p.m.)<br \/>\nand August 23 rd 7pm to 8.30pm Youth Group at the Hub.<\/p>\n<p>Lighten Our Darkness video launch.<br \/>\nThe video produced by the Lighten Our Darkness group was launched on<br \/>\nTuesday last, 25th July by Bishop Storey in the Greville and co-ordinated by<br \/>\nRev Alastair Graham. It was wonderful to see Olive and Alastair back in<br \/>\nMullingar. Congratulations to all involved with this production. Further details<br \/>\nabout the video will be in our next issue.<\/p>\n<p>All Saints\u2019 Summer Camp<br \/>\nLuke and Ester Hawkins are running their fun packed and exciting summer<br \/>\ncamp from Wednesday 14 th to Friday 16 th August, 10am \u2013 12.30pm for all ages<br \/>\nof primary school children. Preaching about God continues to be much<br \/>\nneed in the Church today. God\u2019s mercy, God\u2019s love, and God\u2019s forgiveness are<br \/>\nthemes which richly deserve to be highlighted over and over again, directing<br \/>\nour thoughts away from the distractions of ambition, success and self despair.<br \/>\nThe Church\u2019s year provides for this in its twenty-plus Sundays after Trinity<br \/>\nSunday.<\/p>\n<p>Now that the major church festivals of Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent,<br \/>\nEaster, Ascension and Pentecost are past, our thoughts and prayers on these<br \/>\nSundays of Trinity can settle into the pleasant and refreshing routine of<br \/>\nmeditating on God\u2019s mercy, love and forgiveness. Please join us for coffee afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>Lighten Our Darkness<br \/>\nDuring May several small teams including Lighten our Darkness young leaders<br \/>\nvisited some of the graveyards in the parish which are designated \u201c Gods<br \/>\nGardens of Hope\u201d to monitor the growth of the young trees planted there last<br \/>\nyear and carry out some maintenance work to ensure these spots are not allowed<br \/>\nto become derelict wilderness.<br \/>\nThese Saturday morning events last about 2 hours and are a very enjoyable and<br \/>\na great opportunity to meet up and do a little for the environment. The events<br \/>\nare coordinated by Catherine Gibson Brabazon, John Duggan and David Miller<br \/>\nand theirs thanks goes to everyone who turns out.
