God Is Bigger Than Our Biggest Problem<\/strong>
\n\u2018Raise your staff\u00a0and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the
\nwater\u00a0so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.\u2019
\nExodus 14:16<\/em>
\nThe Israelites found themselves trapped between the Red Sea and the
\ntyrant Pharaoh\u2019s army. They were terrified and could see no way out.
\nYet Moses told them to \u201cStand firm\u201d and trust in God. Then God did
\nsomething amazing. He made a way through the sea, where there had
\nbeen no way at all.
\nWe all face problems that can feel overwhelming\u2014worries about
\nhealth, money, relationships, work, or the future. Sometimes we can
\nfeel trapped, just as the Israelites did. But the story of the Red Sea
\nreminds us that God is bigger than even our biggest problem.
\nGod may not always solve our difficulties in the way we expect, but He
\npromises to be with us and to lead us through. Most wonderfully,
\nthrough Jesus Christ on the cross, God has already made a way
\nthrough our greatest problem\u2014the slavery of sin and the power of
\ndeath.
\nWhatever you are facing today, bring it to God. Stand firm, trust Him,
\nand remember: our God is bigger than the tyrant, bigger than death,
\nbigger than sin, and bigger than the biggest problem.<\/p>\n

Whist Drive<\/strong>
\nThe All Saints\u2019 Whist Drives restart on Friday 2nd October at 8pm in All
\nSaints\u2019 Church Hall. There will also be a Whist Drive on Friday 6th
\nNovember & 4th December. All welcome and we look forward to
\nseeing you then.<\/p>\n

Board Games Saturday<\/strong>
\nBoard Games Saturday is recommencing after our summer break on
\nSaturday 5 th September in the church hall from 3-4:30pm.<\/p>\n

This is for 7-year-olds and older. Bring along your own board games if you want to
\nplay them and to teach others how to play them! All welcome.<\/p>\n

Harvest<\/strong>
\nHarvest is always a great time of celebration in the parishes, when we
\ngive thanks to God for his generous provision to us. Make sure to
\ninvite your neighbours and friends! This year\u2019s service times and dates
\nare as follows:<\/p>\n

Sunday 20 th Septembe<\/strong>r in All Saints at 10am. This will be a family
\nservice.
\nSunday 27 th September<\/strong> in Almoritia at 3pm, with Revd. Joshua Pringle
\nfrom Longford Parish.
\nSunday 4 th October<\/strong> in Kilbixy at 3pm, with Canon William Steacy from
\nthe Athlone Union.
\nSunday 11 th October<\/strong> in Killucan at 3pm, with Revd. Mark Smith from
\nBallyjamesduff.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Bible Course<\/strong>
\nIt seems clear that there is a hunger within the parishes for a better
\nunderstanding of how the whole story of the Bible fits together. With
\nthis in mind we are planning an 8-week Bible overview course on
\nThursday nights from 7:30-9pm, beginning on 10 th September and
\nrunning each Thursday until 29 th October.<\/p>\n

Each evening will be a mix of
\nvideo content, bible study, discussion, and tea! Whether you take part
\nin the whole course, or dip in and out, can I encourage you to make
\ntime to come along.<\/p>\n

Summer Kids Club<\/strong>
\nThe Mullingar Union of Parishes hosted a 3 day summer Holiday
\nKids Club from 19 th -21 st August in and around All Saints’ Church and
\nschool.<\/p>\n

Over 35 children attended over the three days as we played
\ngames, created crafts, played water games and wide games, learnt
\nmemory verses and all about Jesus from the Bible.<\/p>\n

The whole event was brilliant and lively thanks to our dedicated leaders. Many thanks
\nto all who worked so hard to make this busy few days happen. Maybe
\nwe\u2019ll do it again sometime!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Grounded Youth<\/strong>
\nGrounded is our youth group for secondary-school-aged young people.
\nWe run every Friday from 7-9pm, moving between the halls in All
\nSaints\u2019, Mullingar Presbyterian Church, and the Band Hall where
\nMullingar Christian Fellowship meets.<\/p>\n

We also have some trips beyond the halls during the year. Grounded is named because we believe that
\nJesus is the solid foundation on which our young people can ground
\ntheir lives, and so each Friday we take a look at a passage of the Bible
\ntogether and discuss it to see what God might be saying to us.<\/p>\n

Grounded will restart in September \u2013 here are the September dates &<\/strong>
\nvenues:<\/strong>
\n11 th September \u2013 All Saints\u2019 Church
\n18 th September \u2013 Mullingar Presbyterian (N91Y9HN)
\n25 th September \u2013 Mullingar Presbyterian
\n2 nd October \u2013 Venue TBC<\/p>\n

Wedding<\/strong>
\nThe marriage of David Gillespie and Dorothy Pulbrook took place on
\nWednesday 8 th July. With the sun splitting the sky, family and friends
\ngathered at All Saints\u2019 Church ready to celebrate the couple\u2019s special
\nday. It was a wonderfully joyful occasion as Dorothy and David made
\ntheir vows to one another before God and his Church. Please continue
\nto pray for David and Dorothy as they continue their journey through
\nlife together under God.<\/p>\n

Summer Songs of Praise<\/strong>
\nWe had a lovely Songs of Praise service in the beautiful surroundings of
\nAlmoritia Church on 23 rd August. It was great to see so many there,
\nand to hear the enthusiastic singing! After the service hospitality was
\nenjoyed by all outside the church overlooking the wonderful views.
\nThanks to all who made the songs of praise service a success.<\/p>\n

All Saints\u2019 Sunday School<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sunday school restarts on Sunday 6 th September at the 10am service in
\nAll Saints\u2019 Mullingar. Our wonderful dedicated team of leaders has
\nbeen working away in the background to get things ready and so we
\ncan\u2019t wait to see the children there! All are welcome, and we\u2019d love to
\nsee some new faces!<\/p>\n

All Saints’ School – Cash for clobber appeal<\/strong>
\nWe would welcome any of your unwanted\u00a0used\u00a0clothes, bags, shoes,
\ntowels, quilt covers, curtains, sheets, hats.\u00a0\u00a0of any quality.\u00a0(but
\nnothing\u00a0electrical and no duvets or pillows\u00a0)<\/p>\n

Bags can be left into\u00a0All Saints\u2019\u00a0National School,\u00a0– put them into bin
\nsacks \u00a0– drop your full bags into the school the first week of October\u00a0.
\nThis could great opportunity to clear out your wardrobes while helping
\nthe school!\u00a0 Your support is much appreciated!<\/p>\n
