\n\u201cI have seen the Lord!\u201d John 20:18
\nOn Good Friday we are reminded that, as Christians, we are to be
\npeople of the cross, people who identify with the Crucified One,
\npeople who believe in the forgiveness of sins and the defeat of evil and
\ndeath. Easter Sunday reminds us that we are also to be people of the
\nresurrection.
\nAs people of the resurrection, we live as those who expect the
\nunexpected. The world expects that if Jesus ever lived at all, he is dead
\n\u2013 we expect to see him one day because we know he is alive. Many
\nexpect that if there is a God, he would want nothing to do with them.
\nWe expect God to make anyone who comes to him with faith in his
\nrisen Son, intimate members of his family. The world expects that
\nJesus is at best distant up in heaven, and at worst, a fairy-tale. We
\nexpect that he is near and that, through the Spirit, his presence is in us.
\nThe world expects that death is a full stop. We expect the unexpected
\nas we know that those who trust the risen Lord Jesus will rise too. This
\nEaster season, as people of the cross and resurrection, let us hold
\nthese great expectations close, and share them with others.

\nThe details of our Easter Services are below. This is an important time
\nin the Christian calendar as the death and resurrection of Jesus are the
\ncentre point of our faith and vital to our understanding of Jesus. As
\nP.T. Forsyth wrote: \u2018Christ is to us just what his cross is. All that Christ
\nwas in heaven or on earth was put into what he did there\u2026You do not
\nunderstand Christ till you understand his cross.\u2019 Can I encourage you
\nto attend church during Easter, to invite others along, and to seek a
\ndeeper understanding of our beautiful Saviour.<\/p>\n
\nThere will be a Young Adults Supper for those aged 18-30 on Easter
\nEve (Saturday 4 th April) at 7:30pm in the Rectory. We also continue our
\nLenten Bible study at the Rectory on the other Saturday\u2019s in the run up
\nto Easter from 7:30-8:30pm.
\nLenten Bible Study
\nOur Lenten Bible study continues on Tuesday mornings from 10:30-
\n11:30am in All Saints\u2019 Church on 3 rd , 12 th , 24 th March. Alternatively you
\ncan join us in the Rectory on Thursday evenings from 7:30-8:30pm on
\n5 th , 12 th , 19 th , 26 th March. All welcome \u2013 you don\u2019t need to be there
\nevery time \u2013 come and go as you are able!<\/p>\n
\nThere are still copies of In Quietness and Trust available in the
\nchurches. It\u2019s never too late to start the Lenten reflections!
\nGrounded Youth
\nHere are the times and dates for Grounded Youth in March. If you are
\n6 th class \u2013 6 th year we would love to see you there. New members
\nalways welcome:

\nFriday 13 th March 7-9pm @ All Saints
\nSaturday 21 st March @ Mullingar Presbyterian \u2013 (times to be

\nAs a Union of Parishes we were saddened to hear of the passing of
\nDavid Rolston in January. A poignant memorial service was held in All
\nSaints\u2019 on 7 th February. Many thanks to all who played their part in
\nmaking it a very moving service. We continue to pray for Suzanne and
\nBen, Anna, Wendy, Sandra, Florence and Newton as they continue to
\nmourn for David \u2013 that they may know God\u2019s comfort.<\/p>\n
\nCoffee mornings continue in All Saints\u2019 every Thursday from 10:30am
\nto 12 noon. All donations received in March will be in aid of
\nMultyfarnham Alzheimer\u2019s Day Care. Please join us for good coffee
\nand great chat, and to help support this worthwhile cause.<\/p>\n
\nThe next Whist Drive will take place in All Saints\u2019 on 6 th March at 8pm.

\nBoard Games Saturday
\nBoard Games Saturday will take place on 21 st March in All Saints\u2019 from
\n3-4:30pm. This is for 7-year-olds and older.<\/p>\n
\nThis year\u2019s confirmation service will take place in St Etchen\u2019s Church,
\nKillucan on Sunday 7 th June 2026 at 11:30am. Classes will begin after
\nEaster. Candidates in 1 st year or above are welcome.<\/p>\n
\nThe General Easter Vestry will take place in All Saints\u2019 Church at
\n7:30pm on Wednesday 15 th April. This is a very important meeting in
\nthe life of the four churches. It is open to all church members, and
\neveryone is encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n
\nThere will be a service in All Saints\u2019 on St Patrick\u2019s Day at 11am. As the
\nstreets around the church will be closed, we would ask that you park at
\nthe Rectory and walk in through the garden.<\/p>\n
\nWe were delighted to welcome Liam Ruair\u00ed Forristal into the church
\nfamily at his baptism on Sunday 1 st February. Please continue to pray
\nfor Liam as he grows into the faith in which he has been baptised.<\/p>\n
\nThanks to our dedicated leaders Sunday Club takes place every week at
\nthe 10am service in All Saints\u2019, Mullingar – except when there is a
\nfamily service. We\u2019d love to see more children coming along to hear
\nabout, and enjoy, God\u2019s love. All welcome.<\/p>\n
\nThe Choir in All Saints is looking for new members. If you think you
