Turn Our Hearts Lord<\/strong>
\n\u2018Turn my heart towards your statutes,\u00a0and not towards selfish gain.\u2019 Psalm 119:36
\nNovember is a month of remembrance, marked by All Saints Sunday and Remembrance
\nSunday. On Remembrance Sunday, we honour those who left this place to serve in
\nwar\u2014whose loyalty and sacrifice helped protect others and defend our way of life. We also
\nremember those currently serving on the front lines, working to protect the vulnerable and
\npursue justice and peace. We give thanks for their courage, while grieving the ongoing
\nviolence in our world. In this season, we echo the prayer of Psalm 119: \u201cTurn my heart
\ntoward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.\u201d We ask God to turn not only their hearts,
\nbut our own\u2014from selfishness to His Word, and to Jesus, who offers life and peace. May we
\nbe shaped by God, so that our lives and church reflect the heart of the God of peace and the
\nvalues of His righteous Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Coffee Mornings<\/strong>
\nWe are delighted to announce that the coffee mornings will begin again in All Saints\u2019 Church
\non Thursday 6 th November from 10:30am-12noon and will continue every Thursday after
\nthat. The first Coffee Morning will be raising money for Meals on Wheels. It would be great
\nto see this well supported \u2013 all welcome.<\/p>\n

Grounded Youth Group<\/strong>
\nOur new youth group for secondary school-aged teens. This group will be run in partnership
\nwith Mullingar Presbyterian Church and Mullingar Christian Fellowship. Grounded Youth
\nwill meet on Friday evenings from 7:00\u20139:00pm.<\/p>\n

Our hope is that these meeting can help
\nyoung people become deeply rooted in God, building a strong foundation of faith that
\nguides their lives. These meetings will move between the 3 church buildings. We also hope
\nto meet monthly on a Saturday night for a worship service called Lost and Found.<\/p>\n

\nFriday 14 th November \u2013 @ Mullingar Christian Fellowship
\nFriday 21 st November \u2013 @ All Saints

Board Games Saturday<\/strong>
\nOur next Board Games Saturday will take place on 8 th November in All Saints from 3-4:30pm.
\nThis is for 7-year-olds and older. We\u2019d love to see you there!<\/p>\n

Young Adults Supper<\/strong>
\nOur next young adult\u2019s supper and bible study will take place at the rectory at 7:30pm on
\nSaturday 8 th November. All college students \u2013 late twentysomethings welcome.<\/p>\n

Remembrance Sunday<\/strong>
\nOur annual united Service of Remembrance will take place in All Saints\u2019 Church at 10:30am
\non Sunday 9 th November. This promises to be a fantastic occasion for the whole community.
\nAll welcome.<\/p>\n

Looking Back on Harvest<\/strong>
\nHarvest was a fantastic season in our parishes, full of praise and thanksgiving for all God\u2019s
\ngood gifts to us. All four services were full houses and wonderful times of worship and
\nthankfulness.<\/p>\n

We met in Almoritia on Sunday 28 th September, where Canon Isaac Delamere
\nreminded us of Jesus\u2019s call for us not to worry, rather to rely on God\u2019s provision.<\/p>\n

On Sunday 5 th October we were in Kilbixy with Rev Simon Scott, and had the bonus celebration of
\nchurch warden David Miller\u2019s 80 th birthday!<\/p>\n

In Killucan on 12 th October, Psalm 126 reminded us that God always delivers his people. It was great to see so many young people lead the
\nprayers on that occasion.<\/p>\n

On 19 th October we met in All Saints where we were reminded
\nthat the Holy Spirit grows the fruit of love, joy, and peace in the hearts of God\u2019s people.
\nMany thanks to the children from the school and the Sunday school for doing the reading
\nand the prayers, and to the choir for leading us in worship.<\/p>\n

There were wonderfuldecorations inside and outside of all the churches, including a nice shiny new harvester in
\nthe field at Almoritia. Great hospitality was enjoyed by all after the services. Many thanks
\nto all who put in the work before, during, and after the services, and to all who came along.<\/p>\n

Advent Reading<\/strong>
\nAs the busy run-up to Christmas begins, it\u2019s important to find ways to keep our hearts and
\nminds focused on the Lord. One great way to do this is through devotional reading.
\nWith that in mind, Advent devotional booklets will be available in our churches on the
\nSundays leading up to Advent.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s booklet is Hallelujah by Dave & Sally Gobbett,
\nwhich guides us through the Advent season using the themes of Handel\u2019s Messiah.
\nEach day from November 30 th until Christmas Day includes a short Bible reading and
\nreflection. It would be wonderful to journey through this together as a church family. The
\nbooklets will be available for \u20ac2 or next best offer!<\/p>\n

Advent Carols<\/strong>
\nWe are planning to hold an Advent Carol service at 7pm on Sunday 30 th November in All
\nSaints.<\/p>\n

Whist Drive October 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

There will be a Whist Drive on November 7 th and the 5 th December. All start at 8pm in All
\nSaints\u2019 Church Hall. If anyone has items they would like to donate for prizes, please give to a
\nChurch Warden or bring along on the night. With many thanks in advance<\/p>\n

.<\/strong>
\nRe-Turn Bottle Donations for All Saints\u2019 School<\/strong>
\nAll Saints\u2019 school is raising money through the Re-Turn scheme and would\u00a0be delighted if
\nmembers\u00a0of the community donated\u00a0their\u00a0cans and bottles to the school. There is a yellow
\nbin on site for donations. Please feel free\u00a0to drop your empties into the school – they will be
\ngreatly appreciated.<\/p>\n

Family Quiz Night – Date for your Diary<\/strong>
\nThe All Saints\u2019 Parents Council are organising a Family Quiz Night on Thursday the 20th of
\nNovember between 18:00 and 20:00 in Mullingar Rugby Club. This is certain to be a great
\nnight for all the family and tickets will be available soon through the school. There will be a
\nraffle on the night along with prizes for the quiz winners. Special thanks to Mullingar Rugby
\nClub for the use of their facilities.<\/p>\n

Cash For Clobber<\/strong>
\nOur bi-annual Cash for Clobber drive is happening on Thursday the 27th of November. It is a
\ngreat opportunity\u00a0to clear out unwanted clothes, shoes and bed clothes (not heavy duvets)
\nwhile also raising money for the school. The school will be open to accept donations on the
\n25th and 26th of November.<\/p>\n

Christmas Jumper\u00a0Sale<\/strong>
\nOver the last few years All Saints\u2019 parents council have run a successful second-hand
\nChristmas jumper and accessories\u00a0sale. The sale happens in the school and is open to both
\nchildren and parents. It is a great way to recycle clothes and accessories which prevents
\nthem from ending up in a landfill. The parents council would be delighted to accept
\ndonations of Christmas items in saleable condition from members of the community.
\nDonations can be dropped into the school.<\/p>\n

Sunday Club<\/strong>
\nSunday School continues at the 10am service in All Saints, every Sunday during school term,
\nexcept when there is a family service. All welcome.<\/p>\n

Join the Parish Choir<\/strong>
\nOur parish choir adds so much to our morning worship and we are grateful for all they do.
\nThe choir is always looking for new members. If you think you might be interested, please
\ntalk to Bill McConnell or get in touch with Rev Ian.<\/p>\n

Bereavement<\/strong>
\nIn October, the parishes were saddened to hear of the passing of Hilary Gillmor. We
\ncontinue to hold Jordan, Alex, Bevon, Derek, Andrew, Helen, Joanne, and Muriel in our
\nprayers, asking that they may find God\u2019s comfort as they grieve.<\/p>\n

Baptism<\/strong>
\nOn Sunday 5 th October we were delighted to welcome baby Gavin Mills, son of Mary and
\nJack, into the church at his baptism in All Saints. Please continue to pray for Gavin as he
\ngrows in the faith and life of the Church.<\/p>\n
