Right On Time
\nRomans 5:6 says, \u2018You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died
\nfor the ungodly.\u2019 In his grace and mercy, at the right time, God sent Jesus into our world. At
\nthe right time he died on the cross to forgive the sins of all those who believe in him. At the
\nright time he rose again to bring us to new, abundant, eternal life with God. And at the right
\ntime he will come again to put all the wrong in the world right for his followers. Now is the
\nright time for each of us to turn our lives over to Christ our Saviour. As the summer comes
\nto a close and life for all ages cranks up a notch or two, it\u2019s the right time for us to recommit
\nourselves to loving and serving the Lord, and one another, in the year ahead.<\/p>\n
Harvest Services
\nHarvest is one of the great seasons of the church year, where we give thanks to God for all
\nhe has provided us with. This years\u2019 service times and dates are in the \u2018service times\u2019
\nsection below. It would be great to see people from across the union travel to one another\u2019s
\nchurches to support these services. Harvest is also a great opportunity to invite your
\nneighbours to church!<\/p>\n
Sunday Club
\nSunday Club (Sunday School) will start up again in All Saints Church at the 10am service from
\nSunday 7th September. We are planning to have Sunday Club every Sunday of the month
\nduring the school term, except for when there is a family service. We have a dedicated team
\nready to go and so it would be great to see the children there. Sunday Club will be an
\nopportunity for our children to deepen their understanding and Jesus\u2019s love for them, and so
\nwe would ask that you pray for, and support, this vital ministry.<\/p>\n
Board Games Saturday
\nBoard Games Saturday is recommencing after our summer break on 6th September in the
\nchurch hall from 3-4:30pm. This is for 7-year-olds and older. Bring along your own board
\ngames if you want to play them and to teach others how to play them! All welcome.<\/p>\n
Whist Drive October 2025
\nThe first Whist Drive of the 2025\/26 season will be held on Friday 3rd October at 8pm in
\nAll Saints\u2019 Church Hall. All welcome.<\/p>\n
Almoritia Fundraiser & Songs of Praise
\nA wonderful afternoon was had by all on Saturday 5th July in Milltown Community Centre as
\nthe community gathered to raise funds for the repair of the stained-glass windows in
\nAlmoritia Church. There was a great atmosphere as people wandered around the many
\nstalls, enjoyed the live music, and sampled the hospitality. The delicious burgers and
\nhotdogs were also a big hit! Many thanks to all those from across the union of parishes who<\/p>\n
put a huge amount of work into a very special afternoon, and to all who came along and
\nshowed such generosity. A huge amount was raised, and gratefully received, to help keep
\nAlmoritia the beautiful church it is.<\/p>\n
To celebrate and give thanks to God for the work, a Songs of Praise service was held in the
\nchurch on the evening of Sunday 17th August. It was great to see people from across the
\nunion, from the local community, and from beyond the parishes and diocese, fill the church
\nto capacity. The congregation were in great voice, and the hymns were sung with heartfelt
\nenthusiasm. The service was followed by refreshments enjoyed by all outside in the sun.
\nMany thanks to everyone who organized the service and afters so thoughtfully and
\nthoroughly, and to all who attended. Special thanks to Lesley Denniston for providing the
\nmusic.<\/p>\n
Youth BBQ
\nIt was great to see around 30 of the young people of the parishes gather in the rectory for
\nour youth BBQ on Tuesday 19th August. The weather held and so we were able to gather
\naround the fire outside in the garden. It was a great opportunity for the young people to
\ncatch up after the summer and before school and college starts up again. There was plenty
\nof chatter as the burgers were enjoyed! Many thanks to Anna, Barbara, Luke and Jenny for
\nall their hard work and to all those who attended. The event will help Rev Ian begin to
\nconsider how the church\u2019s youth work might take shape into the future.<\/p>\n
Young Adults Supper
\nThere will be a supper and Bible study at 7:30pm in the Rectory on the week beginning 8
\nth of September. This will most likely take place on Thursday 11th and we will confirm that date as
\nsoon as possible. The supper will be for those just finished 6th Year in secondary school, and
\nany older teens and twenty-somethings!<\/p>\n
James Kilbane
\nAll Saints Church, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath presents a very special evening of inspirational
\nmusic with James Kilbane, one of Ireland\u2019s leading voices in Country and Gospel.
\nJoin us on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, for Songs for Life & Hope \u2014 a heartwarming
\nconcert that promises uplifting music, powerful messages, and a night to remember. James
\nwill be joined by guest artist John Flatley. The event starts at 6pm, with doors open at
\n5:30pm. Donation Tickets: \u20ac20. All proceeds will go toward vital church and organ repairs<\/p>\n
Select Vestry meeting
\nA meeting of the Select Vestry will be held at 7pm in the Church Hall on
\nTuesday 16th September.<\/p>\n
Pastoral Care
\nWith Rev Ian still new to the parishes, he would appreciate your help with letting him know<\/p>\n
who might need to be visited, especially those more urgent situations. Get in touch with

\nWedding
\nCongratulations to Zoe Hales on her marriage to Anthony Kelly, which took place in All Saints
\nChurch on Thursday the 7<\/p>\n
th of August 2025. It was great to see Canon Alastair back in the
\nparish to lead the service. We pray that Anthony and Zoe\u2019s love for one another continues
\ndeepen and widen as they journey through life together.<\/p>\n
Congratulations
\nCongratulations to Gavin Lawence who won the 3rd place prize in the intermediate category
\nof the Northern Ireland International Organ competition in St Patrick\u2019s Cathedral, Armagh. A
\nhuge achievement \u2013 well done Gavin!<\/p>\n
Mullingar Famine Graveyard
\nThe annual commemoration service at Mullingar\u2019s Famine Graveyard in Robinstown took
\nplace on Wednesday 25th June. Revd Ian was in attendance, and following a reenactment of
\na Famine burial, he took part in the ecumenical prayer service.<\/p>\n
