I would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year and I hope you had a lovely Christmas with your family and friends. The Services and events in the parish were very well supported and enjoyed. I would like to thank everyone who contributed and participated in any way. Thank you all so very much.
Parish Conference CHANGE OF DATE Sunday 1st March 2020
This very important and special occasion will be held from 10.30a.m – 12.30p.m. in All Saints’ Church. I am appealing to everyone to attend as we will be discussing the future of the Parish. At a time when many parishes lament the absence of young people, we are so fortunate to have young people and young adults wanting to be involved. Indeed the main presentation at the Conference will be by young people and I sincerely hope adult parishioners will attend to show the young people how much they are supported.
Parish Dinner Saturday 1st February 2020
The Parish Dinner, which is always so enjoyable, will be held on Saturday 1st February at 8p.m. in the Greville Arms Hotel. Tickets cost €25 including wine. Do come and join us for a most enjoyable occasion.
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity Saturday 18 – 25th January.
Prayers will be said every day in All Saints’ at 12 noon. The annual Christian Unity Service will be held on Sunday 19th January at 7p.m. in All Saints’. Members of all the churches in the Mullingar area will attend and the special preacher will be Fr. Derek Darby, Administrator of the Cathedral. I hope the Parish will be well represented.
New Year’s Day – 1st January
There will be a service of Holy Communion at 11a.m. in All Saints’. Attending church on New Year’s Day is a wonderful way to begin the New Year.
Epiphany Carols- “All the Parish Coming Together”
The Epiphany Carol Service will be held on Sunday 5th January at 11a.m. in All Saints’. Last year was the first year we held the Carol Service and it was well attended. It is a lovely occasion and a joy to attend. I hope parishioners from each Parish and all the young parishioners and J.A.M. will come to make Epiphany a real celebration of God’s love.
Epiphany 6th January
On Monday 6th January there will be two Services in All Saints’ to celebrate this important liturgical occasion. Children’s Service at 9.30a.m. and the Holy Communion Service at 11a.m.
Service of Crowns Sunday 19th January at 11a.m.
This annual service is the Children’s Gift Day Service. We invite all children in the Parish to bring a small gift of money to show their appreciation for all they received at Christmas. Their gifts support worthy charity work in Africa.

Bereavements
We offer our deepest sympathy to Annette and Bill McConnell following the death of Annette’s brother Michael. Michael bore his illness with both courage and dignity. Annette’s empathic care and support was a great comfort to him and we pray that Michael may rest in peace.
We also offer our deepest sympathy to Richard, Pear, Douglas, Gavin and Sam Lawrence following the death of Richard’s mother Adice. Adice had been unwell for many years and had borne her illness with great courage and was graciously supported by her loving husband David. We pray that now in the fuller presence of God, Adice may rest in peace and rise in glory
