Again this year we will be welcoming Christians from all the different church denominations to this inspiring and uplifting Service. The Service will be held on Advent Sunday, the beginning of the Church year and is an opportunity for parishioners to enjoy the singing of the traditional Advent carols.

Harvest
The Harvest Services were very well attended this year. Indeed, the attendances in each of the four churches were larger than last year. I would like to thank each of the preachers for their inspiring addresses and to all the parishioners who decorated the churches so beautifully.

Almoritia
The church reopened following its' recent restoration at the Harvest Festival on Sunday 23rd October. The restored church looks magnificent and I would like to thank all the parishioners and members of the community for their hard work and great commitment. A Service of Thanksgiving and Rededication will be held on Sunday 12th February 2017 at 11.30 a.m.

Bereavement
We offer our deepest sympathy to Patrick and Caroline Pilkington following the death of Patrick's uncle, Benny, who resided at Oldcastle. Benny shared his warm gift of humanity in the family and community and he will be very sadly missed by both his family and friends. He bore his recent illness with great courage and dignity and we pray that, now in the fuller presence of God, he may rest in peace.
